Vivian Le - Secret - 4.5 x 5.75.jpg

Vivian Le

My work explores my playful fascination with how history and contemporary media continue to portray children in art as romantic symbols. The characters I depict collectively inhabit their own imaginary dystopia. Through using dolls as metaphors in my drawings, I want to explore conformity, implications of the adult gaze, and what it means to have agency as an adolescent.
