Christine Lozano
Chicago, Illinois, USA
I am a psychotherapist, art therapist, and visual artist from Northern California. I’ve resided in Chicago since 2008 and currently work as a therapist in Evergreen Park, IL.
I believe art making can be a bridge towards healing. Art Therapy offers people freedom and comfort to safely express themselves when talking is difficult or not enough. My inspiration comes from the natural world and human emotions and experiences. For me, creating is a mindful, spiritual practice, which encourages self-reflection and growth. Much of my work addresses personal struggles and themes of acceptance and transformation.
These works are part of a series (The Wilderness Within) begun last year. It reflects on a healing journey. It is ongoing, with more art and writing to come.
