Artists explore and give the world a view of their personal heightened awareness. I visualize and think with keen beliefs and insights. Reflection of human and societal concerns which cross emotional boundaries—communicating that which is unspoken. My traditional art foundations of drawing, painting, and printmaking evolved into video, digital photography, and experimental media and digital films. I use these tools and imaging to envision the concepts originating from the creative pulse.
Past Artists on the Lam show: I CAN DO THAT (2012)
Before Artists on the Lam’s founding: SOMNAMBULIST (2010), curated by Jenny Lam and Robin Monique Rios
10th Anniversary Message
Something I’ve learned these past 10 years:
Things usually get better if you are passionate and dedicated to doing the right thing! Just keep going! Take chances; enjoy the journey!
Something I’m proud of:
Working with Native American (Fort Sill Apache Sioux) director Sharon Okee-Chee Skolnick and being friends for years. Also co-producing with David Bechtol her dream of a lifetime film This Is Indian Land: Okee-Chee’s Vision. The gift of being an artist, and knowing such a diverse group of friends and fellow artists.
Wishes for the next 10 years:
To continue to use my creativity to engage others in social dialogue and enhancing new visions.
