Sam Riesmeyer is a queer Chinese American artist based in Chicago. She began exploring embroidery in 2019. She has since been part of multiple exhibitions and online publications. She is fascinated by the intimacy of hands, and how to make images and shapes flow together. Her work revolves around the connection with others, oneself, and nature.
