I’m a Filipino American USMC veteran interested in exploring the psychology of identity as a shared narrative construct.
I’m driven by the belief that psychology and spirituality can healthily coexist, especially if we develop acceptable standards that mitigate the exploitation of spirituality (or a lack of spirituality) into potentially malicious pseudoscience.
Finding common ground is especially key in an era that celebrates diversity through rapidly evolving definitions and norms. The paintings I create aim to depict shared human experiences of complex and abstract subjects such as post-traumatic growth, mortality and existence. I want to foster compatible communication of both safe spiritual exploration alongside logical and scientific truths through the compelling allure of effective and relatable storytelling.
