Muriel Christensen was born in Mandalay Burma to second generation Chinese parents and immigrated to the US to study at the University of Illinois. She was an engineer until 2021, and retired early to become a full-time artist. She’s had a passion for art since childhood and has been drawing and painting whenever she can. She’s a member of Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Art and also a member of Plein Air Painters of Chicago.
